Last night I watched a comet dart
across a sky
Aurora had already claimed as her studio.
So moved was I by this display
I asked the night to be my omen.
“Take me as you will.”
I folded my green and indigo veil into memory
just big enough to fit a comet,
placed it in my chest to carry through tomorrow.
In return for my treasure I greeted daybreak
with a happy nod and said,
“Good Morning take me as you will.”
