The poem is merely a reflection on the amount of water consumption that takes place in a lot of developed countries. It explores several areas in which we consume or use water in detrimentally large amounts. All of this research is then compared with the struggle of accessing clean water that millions of people face on a daily basis. Discussing everything from commodification, to overconsumption, to unnecessary waste, this poem talks about something that covers over 70% of Earth’s surface, and is vital to all forms of life, but is being largely abused on a regular basis by those who are privileged with easy access to it.
