I view photography as a highly subjective art form. The inspiration for my work usually comes from everyday life and the need to create art or beauty in my images. Shooting in film has been one of my joys and teachers of the art, as I tend to observe a situation different in film as opposed to digital. Plus with the cost of developing, every shot counts. Film portraits from other photographers tends to inspire me more than digital; the atmosphere, the colours and the mood film creates can be exhilarating. Concept photography is a medium I want to dwell on more as well and shoot more unique concepts, along side shooting more editorial fashion work. I’ve only been shooting for three years now, taking it seriously in the last year, so in my eyes I still have a lot to learn and experience as I walk the path of a photographer.
