When you photograph a face, you are immortalizing that person’s image. One click and a moment is forever cemented. It is a power our ancestors would marvel at so we must not take it for granted. Pay attention to the eyes, lips, curves in the jaw; for they reflect our individual uniqueness as well as what unites us as humans. “I am like you, and yet we are different.” Each face reveals a complex story and experience. Emotions can be expressed without having to pronounce syllables.
What a photographer does is try to encapsulate the essence of what it means to be human without using words. It is a never-ending pursuit.
