Is graffiti art? You can walk through any city around the world and encounter it all the time. On buildings, trains, bridges, etc. The fact that we even have to ask this question demonstrates the controversy. Some hate it, others love it, but at the end of the day is the widespread approval of graffiti what will turn it into art?
We say no. Art has always been and always will be about the artist. It does not need to appeal to everyone. The beauty of graffiti is that it breaks the rules. It tells society at large that what it considers beautiful is not always true. Artists are not bound to societal norms and expectations. We dare say, artists are the only free souls. So break the rules. Turn your city upside down. And see, that even in the ugly, misunderstood world of graffiti there is someone wonderful to behold.
