Quetzalgirl’s Arts (a.k.a. Yazmin Juarez) was born in Guatemala, and came to Canada at age 10. She is part of Memoria Viva Society of Edmonton and also started a non-profit organization to empower young women. Yazmin has shown her artwork at various community events and has developed workshops, which use art as a tool for engagement.
